About the Trust

The trust, generally known as the ‘Thomas Williams Trust’, gives grants of money to help with vocational training, university, and special needs courses. Every year the trust welcomes applications from young people living in Bere Regis and the trustees aim to support as many of those applications as possible given the limited funds available.

The Trust also gives financial assistance to organisations within the Parish that help young people acquire social, communication, teamwork, self-reliance and community skills. In recent years Bere Regis Primary and Pre-school, the scouts, the swimming club, Junior Church and Pop-in club have all received funds for specific projects. The youth football and cricket clubs have both received funding in previous years.

It appears likely that in the future, whatever political party is in power, young people from Bere Regis will find it harder than ever to achieve their personal development potential without running up frightening debts.

The Williams Trust will do its utmost to help those most in need.
